How can my child participate in a study?
If you are interested in having your child participate in our research, pleaseĀ fill out the form at the bottom of this page. We will contact you when we have a study available for your child’s age range.
Where are you located?
We are located on the University of Arkansas campus in Memorial Hall. Memorial Hall is located at the intersection of Leverett St. and Maple St. in Fayetteville. All research sessions are conducted in our safe and easy-to-find play lab.
Where do I park?
When you sign up to participate in a study we will send you a confirmation email that includes directions and parking information. We provide free parking with easy access to the building. Additionally, a student will meet you in the parking lot to show you to our play lab.
Can I stay with my child?
Absolutely! In fact, we prefer that parents stay with their children at all times. In our experience, having a parent in the room helps children feel more comfortable.
Can I bring my other children with me?
Sure! We have no problem with siblings coming along for research sessions. We can provide toys and crayons to keep siblings occupied.
How long does it take?
It depends on the study, but usually no more than an hour. Some studies are as short as 15 minutes.
Will my child get a reward for participating?
Yes, all children get to pick out a small prize (e.g. playdough, crayons, a slinky, a book) as a thank you for participating in a study. Additionally, children may be rewarded with stickers throughout the study.
